The Platform One Sustainable Fashion Showcase 2026 took place with the Graduate Runway – Class of 2026 on Friday 5th June.
The Platform One Graduate Runway – Class of 2026 – the Sustainable Fashion Showcase, was held at Newport Minster Church on the eve of 5th June 2026.
Using various materials for their collections the show provided an insight into the work and creations of the BA (Hons) Sustainable Fashion and BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design Practice (Fashion) Platform One students .
The students used some materials provided by Fat Face, as well as Mountbatten Isle of Wight

Held at Newport Minster Church, St Thomas’ Square, Newport.
All the garments presented in the show were created using a range of repurposed and waste materials, the show provided an insight into the work and creations of the BA (Hons) Sustainable Fashion and BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art & Design Practice (Fashion) students for their collections, including:
- Repurposed garments from charity shops
- Donated clothing that would otherwise have been discarded as textile waste.
- Community donations of antique, vintage, and forgotten textiles, trims and components
- Alternative waste fabrics sourced from other industries
- Deadstock fabrics and materials from industry sources
